A Pillow Here...A Pillow There

Get creative with pillow covers and pillows. They add color, texture, versatility and function, and they give any room and added face lift on a budget! Pillows are in. Try floor pillows to add seating in smaller areas where they can also be on display when not in use, or throw pillows of different sizes, pattens, and colors to add visual shaping.
People are often wondering how to work a new decor or theme into a room inexpensively. Pillows and pillow covers are a great way to decorate and bring your personality into a room. They can accent already existing colors in your room, or you could use accent colors from the pillows and pillow covers that you choose to change the wall color, woodwork color, and drapery. The possibilities are endless!

Color, Color, What Color should I.......?

We see so many questions about color. What color should I paint? What color carpet should I use? What color furniture should I buy?
One trick is to find a pillow, or picture or some other small item that is multi-colored that you like a lot. This is your inspiration piece. Take the boldest color in the item and use that for your accents and smaller items. Use the more neutral colors in the pillow, or whatever, for your larger items like carpet or curtains. You know the colors will look great together!

How do you remove glue from a velvet Sofa?
How to Remove Glue from Velvet -
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a jar and add 1/2 tsp. of dish soap. Cover the jar and shake for about a minute. Make sure there is a thick layer of foamy soap bubbles on top of the water. If not, add another 1/2 tsp of soap and shake again.
With a dry sponge, scoop up about a tbsp of the soap suds. Do not dip the sponge down into the water.
Apply the soap suds to the area of the velvet that is stain with glue. Rub the sponge gently back and forthe the lossen the stain.
Blot the area with a clean cloth to remove excess moisture
Repeat until the glue is removed.
Blot a final time and allow to dry.
This is a great solution from ehow. I hope it works for you. If it doesn't, remember Slipcovers!
