How do you remove glue from a velvet Sofa?

How to Remove Glue from Velvet -
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a jar and add 1/2 tsp. of dish soap. Cover the jar and shake for about a minute. Make sure there is a thick layer of foamy soap bubbles on top of the water. If not, add another 1/2 tsp of soap and shake again.
With a dry sponge, scoop up about a tbsp of the soap suds. Do not dip the sponge down into the water.
Apply the soap suds to the area of the velvet that is stain with glue. Rub the sponge gently back and forthe the lossen the stain.
Blot the area with a clean cloth to remove excess moisture
Repeat until the glue is removed.
Blot a final time and allow to dry.
